Rebecca Silva has been teaching English as a second language in various capacities for over ten years, including at the largest mental health clinic on the East Coast in the U.S. where she developed a program, along with material, to help psychotherapists with their writing skills. Currently living in Portugal, she teaches English online to people all around the world. Doctors, lawyers, business executives, and even federal agents, are some of the people comprising the student population she works with. Teaching part time at the University of Aveiro, and doing translations from Portuguese to English are also part of her repertoire.

Writing is a passion and a creative outlet, as well as an important way to connect with people. With a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University, she is excited to be a part of Suite 101 to get back to doing something that she has missed out on for many years- writing!
